Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a baking dish large enough to hold the slider buns.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the shredded chicken, buffalo sauce, and melted butter until the chicken is evenly coated.
  3. Slice the slider buns in half horizontally, keeping the tops and bottoms connected if possible. Place the bottom halves in the prepared baking dish.
  4. Spread the ranch dressing or blue cheese dressing over the bottom buns.
  5. Evenly spoon the buffalo chicken mixture over the dressing layer, then top with the cheese slices.
  6. Place the top halves of the buns over the cheese.
  7. Mix the 1 tablespoon melted butter, garlic powder, and dried parsley in a small bowl. Brush the mixture over the tops of the buns.
  8. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for 5 to 7 minutes more, until the cheese is melted and the tops are lightly golden.
  9. Sprinkle with chopped green onions, then let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra heat, add a little more buffalo sauce before assembling. You can substitute provolone with mozzarella, and ranch dressing with blue cheese dressing. Serve warm for the best texture.
