Ingredients
Method
- Prepare the red layer: In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of red gelatin mix with 1 cup boiling water. Stir until the gelatin is completely dissolved.
- Add 1/2 cup cold water and 1/2 cup vodka to the dissolved red gelatin. Mix well.
- Pour the red gelatin mixture evenly into plastic shot cups, filling them one-third of the way. Place the cups in the refrigerator to set for 1–2 hours.
- Prepare the white layer: If using whipped cream or clear gelatin mix, dissolve it in 1 cup boiling water. Optionally, add 1 cup heavy cream for a creamier texture. Let the mixture cool slightly.
- Once the red layer is fully set, pour the white layer mixture evenly over it, filling the cups another third of the way. Return the cups to the refrigerator to set for 1–2 hours.
- Prepare the blue layer: Combine 1 cup of blue gelatin mix with 1 cup boiling water. Stir until the gelatin is completely dissolved.
- Add 1/2 cup cold water and 1/2 cup vodka to the dissolved blue gelatin. Mix well.
- Once the white layer is set, pour the blue gelatin mixture evenly over it, filling the cups to the top. Refrigerate the cups again for 1–2 hours until fully set.
- Optional: Garnish each shot with fresh strawberries and blueberries for an extra festive touch just before serving.
Notes
For a non-alcoholic version, replace vodka with an equal amount of cold water. Ensure each layer is fully set before adding the next to avoid mixing colors.
