Ingredients
Method
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare the chocolate cake mix according to the package instructions, or bake a homemade chocolate cake.
- Once the cake is fully baked and cooled, crumble it into fine crumbs in a large mixing bowl.
- Add the chocolate frosting to the crumbled cake and mix thoroughly until the mixture holds together like dough.
- Roll the mixture into small balls about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Insert a lollipop stick into each cake ball, ensuring the stick is firmly embedded.
- Chill the cake lollies in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, or until firm.
- Melt the milk chocolate and white chocolate wafers in separate bowls according to package instructions.
- Dip each cake lolly into the melted chocolate, covering it completely. Alternate between milk chocolate and white chocolate for variety.
- While the chocolate coating is still wet, decorate with sprinkles or other toppings as desired.
- Place the decorated cake lollies back on the parchment-lined baking sheet and allow the chocolate to set completely by refrigerating for about 30 minutes.
- Once the chocolate is firm, arrange the cake lollies on a platter or wrap them individually for gifting.
Notes
You can use any type of sprinkles or decorations to customize the cake lollies for different occasions.
