Equipment

  • 9x13-inch baking dish
  • small mixing bowl
  • whisk
  • pastry brush
  • small saucepan
  • aluminum foil

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. Place the bottom halves of the slider buns in the baking dish. Layer the roast beef evenly over the buns, then top with provolone cheese and the top halves of the buns.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, dried parsley, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Brush or drizzle the butter mixture evenly over the tops of the sliders.
  5. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 15 minutes.
  6. Uncover and bake for 5 to 10 minutes more, until the tops are golden and the cheese is melted.
  7. While the sliders bake, make the au jus by heating the beef broth, au jus gravy mix, Worcestershire sauce, and optional horseradish in a small saucepan over medium heat until hot and smooth.
  8. Serve the sliders warm with the au jus for dipping.

Notes

For extra flavor, use good-quality deli roast beef and serve immediately so the sliders stay warm and melty. The horseradish in the dipping sauce is optional but adds a nice kick.
