Method

  1. Add the sliced peaches to a medium saucepan with 2 cups of water and bring to a boil over medium heat.
  2. Reduce the heat and simmer the peaches for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they soften and release their juices.
  3. Remove the saucepan from heat and use a blender or immersion blender to puree the peaches until smooth. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve to remove pulp, if desired.
  4. While the peach mixture is cooling, bring the remaining 4 cups of water to a boil in a separate pot. Remove from heat and steep the black tea bags for 5-7 minutes.
  5. Discard the tea bags and stir in the honey until fully dissolved.
  6. Combine the peach puree and honey-sweetened tea in a large pitcher. Stir well and let cool completely in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
  7. When ready to serve, fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the chilled honey peach sweet tea over the ice.
  8. Garnish with fresh peach slices and mint leaves, if desired, and enjoy!

Notes

For a stronger peach flavor, use additional peaches. Adjust honey to taste for sweetness.
