  • small bowl or jar
  • whisk
  • measuring cups
  • tall glass
  • spoon or straw

Method

  1. Brew the chai tea and let it cool to room temperature, or chill it in the refrigerator for faster cooling.
  2. In a small bowl or jar, whisk together the pumpkin puree, maple syrup, pumpkin pie spice, vanilla extract, and pinch of salt until smooth.
  3. Add the milk and whisk again until the mixture is well combined and slightly frothy.
  4. Fill a tall glass with ice, then pour in the cooled chai tea.
  5. Pour the pumpkin milk mixture over the chai and stir gently to combine.
  6. Taste and add more sweetener if desired, then top with whipped cream and a light sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice if using.
  7. Serve immediately with a straw or spoon.

Notes

For a stronger pumpkin flavor, add a little more pumpkin puree or pumpkin pie spice. For a dairy-free version, use oat, almond, or soy milk. Adjust the sweetener to taste.
