Ingredients

Equipment

  • small saucepan
  • whisk
  • mug
  • milk frother
  • immersion blender

Method

  1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, whisk together the milk, pumpkin puree, sugar or maple syrup, pumpkin pie spice, and vanilla extract until hot and steaming, but not boiling.
  2. For a smoother latte, use a milk frother, immersion blender, or whisk vigorously to create foam.
  3. Pour the hot espresso or strong coffee into a mug.
  4. Add the pumpkin milk mixture to the mug and stir gently to combine.
  5. Top with whipped cream if desired and finish with a light sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice.
  6. Serve immediately while hot.

Notes

Use maple syrup for a more natural sweetness, or adjust the sugar amount to taste. For a dairy-free version, choose oat, almond, or soy milk. Brew extra-strong coffee if you do not have espresso.
